11 Facts About Me
1. In college, I majored in theatre. I had applied to several journalism programs, but last minute decided to pursue my acting dreams.
2. That picture above isn't a wig. In 2007, I cut off over 10 inches of my then-blonde hair and dyed it bright red to play the part of Millie.
3. I have a huge fear of large bodies of water.

4. Ben and I met backstage at the JayDoc Benefit Concert. His roommate was playing in one of the bands and I was there to see Ultimate Fakebook. We exchanged numbers and didn't talk until seven months later, but after that text message we were hooked.
5. My dad taught me how to yodel when I was younger. I have yodeled in two commercials. This song was my jam when I performed at rodeos. Yup, I'm cool.
6. I have always been able to turn my belly button inside out. We all thought that meant that when I was preggo that it would pop out right away, but it never fully did.
7. Back in 2010, my family decided that they wanted to venture into the haunted house business, so they came to me to be the creative director (putting those theatre major skills to work). With their help, I designed The Haunted Benjamin Ranch which consisted of the main haunted house (old west themed), a cage maze filled with psycho rodeo clowns, and a haunted hayride that went through the forest. There was also a freak stage show where Sheriff Dusty Cadaver entertained the crowds. That year it won Kansas City's Best Haunt by the KC Examiner.
8. I can't stand doing my eyeliner. I feel like everyone else is so good at it and I just can never get it right.
9. I think that being a mom is the greatest thing in the world.
10. I got my hands and feet from my dad. They're the exact same shape, only smaller.
11. If I ever had to choose a career outside of the home I would be a wedding planner.

YAY I'm glad you did this! We have even more in common than I thought! I was big in musical theater in high school. My biggest role was Eponine in Les Miserables. I did some stuff in college but not as much as I had in high school since my college favored a different voice type than mine. They did Thoroughly Modern Millie the year after I graduated from college and I was so sad. It's one of my favorites. I saw it on Broadway when Sutton Foster was still in it. It was amazing. AND I can yodel and Cowboy's Sweetheart is TOTALLY my yodel jam too!!! When I read that about you I almost fell out of my chair! :)
ReplyDeleteLoved learning all that stuff about you!
